Manic Monday: DIY Fountain and a Fractured Wrists!

Welcome to my first ever Manic Monday posting!  I thought I’d start us off with a nice DIY because I love doing crafty stuff like this so much!

As far as more ideas for finishing that off, you may want to wait until all the clay is dry again before using the silicone sealer since moisture can cause issue with it adhering to the surface.  But you didn’t come here for a craft project, did you?  Well… Read more of this post

A Blog a Day…

No, that’s not me going for a blog a day goal.  I don’t feel I have that much to say honestly, or at least not that much that should be shared.  I’m not consistent enough to do so anyway.  It’s more of an expression like “An apple a day keeps the doctor away,” but in this case it’s more like “a blog a day keeps the psychiatrist at bay.”

I don’t expect I’ll ever getting around to eating an apple every day, but I do enjoy one occasionally for a more healthy sweet treat.  Conversely, I don’t blog every day, but when I do I find it therapeutic.  At least I do when I have real life things to talk about that are causing me distress. Don’t Scoff at the Silly Person

How do I start this one?  My Step-daughter and I like to go grocery shopping together.  It is our time to bond, and we both enjoy it a lot!  I can be myself with her, and know that she is just as goofy as I am! However, people around us may think that a thirty-year-old woman shouldn’t be singing in the middle of a store, or dancing to Gangnam Style in her car, or waving at total strangers while at stop-lights.    Perhaps they think that as an adult, I should act like one, or be more “modest”.  Why does getting older mean that you have to loose your ability to laugh, and play?  Why is that? Little Update For the Masses!

I’ve been away from my computer for a while.  There’s been so many things going on that’s been keeping me away, like spending time with my husband as he recovered from his surgery, cleaning my house, and hosting two more fellow estrogen-producing members of society at my home.

Don’t F****ing Jinx It!!!

Want to know irony?  Writing in your blog about how your playlist works, then the player craps out days later.  We’ve learned two lessons: 1. don’t jinx it!, 2. research the electronic gadget you want to purchase .  Just wanted to share that little bit.  I have a new mp3 player and am working on familiarizing myself with how to make it do the stuff I want it to.  I didn’t lose my music, the thing is just useless for playing music anymore.  Silver lining: I don’t worry about my toddler breaking it while taking pictures…take all the pictures you want and touch that screen!  Go ahead! Can’t make it work much less right?  That’s all I had to say though.  I want to get back to working on the player and playlists, maybe even play a little Star Wars: the Old Republic before I have to pick up my boy.

Sad Times Indeed

It’s time for another blog.  I’m going to talk shop.  And when I say shop, I mean the greenhouse, and making flower arrangements. Read more of this post

30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 2

Alright, I’m continuing my 30 days of Thankfulness.  Hahaha, thought I’d forgotten right? Well, today one little one made his awesomeness shown, so I’ll write about him.  And so, today I’m thankful for… Read more of this post

What I Did Over the Summer…(that statement brings back bad memories!)

I haven’t actually posted for the sake of posting in a while, and while I’m waiting for the Sims 3 Create a Pet Demo to download I thought I’d rectify that overstatement.  Well for all the time I haven’t posted anything more than a review, there hasn’t been much going on.  There are some exceptions, and I’ll get to them.  I suppose the title is somewhat inaccurate since the last I really posted was the end of July and Summer Break was a month away from ending for my son.  Still, I’m keeping the title and there’s nothing you can do about it but whine at me, and I’m not a heavy drinker so please, no whine!

Times, They Are A-changin’: Kid’s Meal Issue

I’ve wondered what I want to do with this blog.  I’ve had a terrible time getting anything done because I’ve had so much to do.  I still want to use this to help my writing, however not so that untalented fakes can steal my work.  As far as talking about what goes on in my life, I figure that what I do may be uninteresting 90% of the time, so what does it matter if I share that boring bit of my life.  Most of the time I just want to exercise my fingers and my mind so that I can get the words out in a coherent form so that other’s can understand me for once.  Trust me, the brain-to-mouth process is just as confusing.  But other than writing about me, what do I want to do?  I think I want to make people aware of things however trivial they may seem.  Things that on their own may not seem like a big deal, but when you take a step back you realize, “hey, this isn’t good.”  I’ll start small this time though.  I want to tackle children sized fast food meals.
